Planning application for an airfield that could affect us here at Calvert Green
Planning application for an airfield at Bernwood Farm, Weir Lane, Botolph Claydon. Permission to house 8 micro lights and permission for up to 1500 aircraft movements per year has been applied for. As the flights would be during the spring, summer and autumn mostly at weekends when weather conditions allow. They have also requested unlimited number of special event days so a high volume of movement on those days could be expected.
The take off path could well be heading towards Calvert Green, as there will be a no fly zone over Botolph village and Claydon House. There are concerns over the increase in noise and loss of privacy whilst in the garden as an example.
The closing date for objections is 5th May 2010. All documents relating to this can be found at AVDC planning website.

"Please be aware that the planning department have no interest in where the microlights fly to, after lift off, only the initial take off and landing, which as you can see from the attached, will be no where near Calvert Green air space. They only are small air craft, with small fuel tanks.
Everyone is entitled to make responses regarding the planning application, with relevant planning references, to the planning department."
